Economic theory is essential to understanding why people behave the way they do and to design better economic policies.
The Microeconomic Theory group publishes in internationally leading journals and has expertise in a wide array of areas. We regularly organise workshops and conferences, including recent workshops on the economics of contracts and on competition in platforms. We co-organize the Makris Symposium in Economic Theory (MSET) and the Virtual Seminars in Economic Theory (VSET).
