Our student societies

Our student societies help you to become part of a diverse, welcoming and supportive student network. They connect students, built links to professional networks and aim to make everybody feel at home amongst like-minded people.

Bristol University Geology, Geoscience and Geophysics Society - BUGGS

BUGGS is a society for all undergraduate students in the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol. Its main ambition is to connect all students across the 3 year groups to ensure everyone feels at home and integrated in the School. The Family Scheme connects every first year student with the second and third year cohorts, that can offer support with settling into student life or academically. The society also organises a range of inclusive events, from themed socials and sports tournaments to academic talks and student-led field trips.
