- Samantha Engwell: Determining the magnitude and frequency of large volcanic eruptions with climate, risk and hazard applications (University of Bristol)
- Jean-Francois Smekens: Dynamics of persistently active volcanoes that exhibit cyclic explosions (Arizona State University)
- Helen Thomas: Quantifying global volcanic SO2 emissions using spaceborne NASA instruments (Michigan Tech University)
- Steve Murray: Future Global Water Resources with respect to Climate Change and Population Dynamics (University of Bristol)
- Dan Skinner: Risk and Weight of Evidence: Governing the Unknown (Cranfield University)
- Alex Farnsworth: The influence of future land cover and global climate change on the climate of central Africa”, involves an in-depth study of climate variability over central Africa and then sensitivity experiments using a variety of climate models. (University of Reading)
