The University of Bristol Pension and Assurance Scheme (UBPAS) is closed to new members and is no longer administered by the University.

From 1 January 2020, the scheme closed to all future accrual. Active members of UBPAS at this time will be treated as having opted out, and become deferred members. Former UBPAS members will then be automatically enrolled into the UBGPP scheme, unless they decide otherwise.

Contact Barnett Waddingham for all enquiries relating to UBPAS

Closing benefits statements

Ex UBPAS members should be receiving their closing benefits statements by the end of February 2020. Barnett Waddingham will be issuing these.

Taking retirement after January 2020

If you are a deferred member of UBPAS and are retiring after January 2020 and are now in UBGPP you will need to contact both Barnett Waddingham and Legal and General. See UBGPP for further details.

Adjust your contribution rates
