BILT digital champions

Digital Champions exist to help staff in all schools access discipline-relevant advice and examples to support them to move their teaching into online and blended formats.

Bristol Institute for Learning and Teaching (BILT)

At the Digital Education Office we work closely with BILT on pedagogic practice with technology.

Media community of practice

A practitioner-led group to share and develop simple approaches to the effective use of media in learning and teaching.

Student response systems community of practice

Connect with colleagues who are using student response systems (SRS) to share support and ideas and to learn about events.

External networks

• Jisc are a non-profit supporting the use of digital technologies in higher and further eduction. They provide services and offer advice. They put on a range of events and produce useful guides on a range of topics.
• The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is a national body focussing on teaching quality, working both with individual academics and institutions.
• The Association for Learning Technology (ALT) is a membership organisation which works to improve practice, promote research, and influencing policy around learning technology. They run the CMALT professional accreditation programme as well as an annual conference and other events.
