Four Days of Performance Art

Theatre Collection

NRLA poster

In 2006 the Theatre Collection greatly expanded the breadth of its holdings with the acquisition of the Live Art Archives. These archives provide a fascinating record of Live Art from its inception in the late twentieth century, through its development to the present day. Included is the archive for the National Review of Live Art (NRLA) – an annual festival of performance, installation and video art. This poster advertises the NRLA in its early form: Four Days of Performance Art held at the Midland Group Arts Centre, Nottingham in 1984. Two years later it became known as the NRLA. Video documentation of the NRLA from 1986-2006 has recently been digitised and can be viewed through the Theatre Collection website.
