Theatre Collection
John Elvery was a theatre designer who spent the majority of his career in Bristol. He was Head of Design at Bristol Old Vic for over a decade, and taught at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Elvery’s eye for detail is evident throughout his works, whether artworks for costume designs or models for setting. This magical model for a coach and horses was created by Elvery for a production of Cinderella at the Nottingham Playhouse in 1994. Artworks and set models by Elvery for over forty productions are available to view at the Theatre Collection.
