Sophie Ross-Smith

Sophie has worked at the University of Bristol since 2009, after graduating from Bristol with a BSc in Biology. As a Strategic Partnership Manager, she has developed and managed a portfolio of university-wide partnerships, working with partnerships such as BT. Having worked as a Project Manager within Engineering, she is experienced in both managing and developing large-scale collaborative R&D projects. She also developed our University relationship with Bristol Is Open Ltd (BIO), an award-winning joint venture with Bristol City Council, which provided a city-wide R&D experimental testbed and brought people together from across disciplines and organisations to solve city scale challenges. Outside work Sophie she can normally be found horse riding, on a dance floor somewhere in the world (when travel was permitted) or baking cakes.
