Adele Hulin

Adele is a Communications and Engagement Officer at the Cabot Institute for the Environment. Her role raises the profile of research and activities that take place at the Institute and organises events to both connect people across disciplines and share research, evidence and solutions with different audiences including publics and policymakers. Adele creates and delivers communications and engagement through events, art collaborations, impact reporting, video, website, newsletter, social media and she also manages the Cabot Communicators group of PhD's and postdocs. 

Recent projects include the video/podcast series Cabot Conversations, hosting an exhibition of artworks inspired by climate change research, supporting mock climate change negotiations (Mock-COP26) for young people in Bristol along with a wide range of activities around the climate change conference COP26. Adele has previously organised large events at the University such as hosting Bristol based artist Luke Jerram’s 7m diameter EarthArt, attracting 20,000 visitors.

Adele has a Master's in Environmental Protection and Management and prior to joining the Cabot Institute worked in environmental research and coordinated international research networks for Defra. She is interested in knowledge exchange and communicating environmental research to a wide audience.
