BILT Associates support our aim to inspire learning and teaching innovation and excellence across the University and beyond.
We currently have 22 colleague working with us as BILT Associates across three themes:
Supporting students in their transition to University. We would like to increase our capacity and scope for advising schools and programme teams on the development of effective mechanisms to support students academically, pastorally and practically, as they transition into Higher Education, particularly in the context of the disruption of the pandemic.
BILT Associates working on this theme are Simon Gamble, Suzanne Collins, Sarah Jones, Emily Bell, Keith Beasley, Sean Lancastle, Claire Spencer, Hannah Charnock, Vijaiya Poopalasingham and Robert Sharples.
Assessment and feedback. BILT is currently working with programme teams to support colleagues in enhancing their assessment and feedback practices across programmes. We would like to engage with colleagues with expertise in these areas to increase our capacity and scope for supporting assessment and feedback practices. Activities include running workshops, mentoring and developing online resources and case studies.

Evaluation of projects. Education Development Projects which include projects to evaluate changing practice over the last year or so. Through the Education Development Projects we waanted to engage with colleagues with expertise in evaluation of education innovations and initiatives to support project-holders, including running workshops, mentoring, acting as a critical friend and developing online resources. Projects commenced in August/September and will run to July 2022.
