A. G. Leventis Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ancient Greek Studies: applications now open

3 March 2023

The IGRCT is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the next A.G. Leventis Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ancient Greek Studies.

This fellowship, tenable for three years, is awarded for the pursuit of an advanced research project in ancient Greek studies leading to publication. The project may relate to any area of ancient Greek studies, including reception.

We invite applications from scholars of any specialisation within the broad field of ancient Greek studies. It is expected that the successful candidate will take up the role, which is a fixed-term appointment of three years’ duration, from 1 September 2023.

This early career development post offers an extended period of time in which to develop an ambitious research project while also gaining experience in teaching and outreach activities. The post-holder will be a member of both the Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Bristol and the IGRCT, and will also be affiliated with the Bristol Classics Hub. Applicants will normally have completed their PhD no more than seven years before the start date of the post.

The job description, further particulars and application form may be found here.

The application deadline is 29 March 2023.
