How you can take part

Members of the Alumni Association are elected to various voluntary roles within the University’s governance structure. They support the alumni community and help fellow graduates get involved with the University.

The University is seeking an Alumni Association Trustee to join the Board of Trustees. Becoming a Trustee provides excellent experience of a vital leadership and governance role, and an opportunity to understand how the University governs itself.

Full details of core responsibilities and preferred skills and experience can be found in the Alumni Association Trustee role description (Office document, 27kB)

All members of the Board of Trustees are expected to act in accordance with the University's Code of conduct for members of the Board of Trustees (PDF, 231kB).

For informal enquiries regarding these roles, please contact the University Governance Office at governance@bristol.ac.uk.

To apply, please complete the Key information form (Office document, 40kB) and Diversity monitoring form (Office document, 46kB), together with a short CV (no more than 2 pages) and personal statement (no more than 500 words) and send to the Development and Alumni Relations Office by email or post before 5 pm on Monday 10 September 2018.

Alumni groups and networks

Reconnect with your University by joining one of our international networks, UK Branches, Halls Associations or special interest groups – a great way to stay in touch with old friends, or make new contacts within the Bristol community, however far your degree has taken you.

We’re always looking for alumni volunteers to start new groups and networks – email alumni@bris.ac.uk with your ideas.
