We regularly work with donors to ensure gifts reflect their priority areas and the strategic goals of the University.

Examples include:

• The creation of the John Oldacre Centre for Sustainability and Welfare in Dairy Production, focused on addressing issues of food security and training the next generation of vets and agriculturists. The John Oldacre Foundation has supported work at the Bristol Veterinary School for almost 20 years. 
• Visionary partnership with Professor John Climax to create a new team for Academic Research Quality, with a focus on improving the rigour of scientific research and developing strategies to improve research quality and training. 
• A transformative gift from the Perivoli Trust to create the Perivoli Africa Research Centre, which will develop and expand our interdisciplinary research in Africa, in partnership with universities, charities, agencies and governments in that continent.
